Carmel Senior Secondary School, Port Blair has created milestones in the history of education in the union territory of A & N islands and has added 53 glorious years to its history. I consider myself privileged to be associated with this Institution in a leadership role and journey forward with the dedicated band of staff and the talented students.
Every student is blessed with special gifts and talents and with right motivation and guidance their abilities can be channelized in right direction so that they not only discover their potentials but excel in a particular field. While we insist on forming good human beings who are morally upright and stand for justice, we also focus on making our students excel in academics. To this end, we count on the co-operation of the parents who are the primary educators. Our teachers work in co-operation with the parents to help each individual student to bloom and blossom.
I entrust each one of us to the care of the Mother of Carmel, the Patroness of our School and strive to walk in the footsteps of Mother Veronica, the Founder of the Apostolic Carmel, who considered education as a powerful means of transforming the society.
I wish all of our students all round success fuelled by hard work, discipline and consistent effort.
